about

HTHB is fronted by stand-up bassman Eddy Blake, known for his dextrous work in bands such as USWM, The Cockroaches and Filly and The Flops and as a staple player in Montreal’s rockabilly, blues and old time country scenes with forays into everything from classical to punk.

HTHB is Lo-Fi DIY recording which denies itself nothing: Eight songs pack in the upbeat boppin’, garage stompin’ and country twangin’, leaving no stone unturned amongst the musical influences of Eddy Blake as a songwriter.

The Honky Tonk Heartbreakers are a five piece garage-a-billy sensation, which features Eddy’s tub-thumping bass and croon-holler vocals, the twanging guitars of Chris Reid, the soul-singing steel of John Misrahi, the snappy rhythm of Jim Dube and the be-boppin drums of Eric Thibodeau. It’s all about the tunes, the beat, and having a good time in general!
